As long as you make the right decisions to provide them with what they need, your planets will take care of themselves. Your precious time won’t be wasted on busywork. Each run lasts 40-60 minutes and is filled with all the good stuff.
Bring it up a notch
The technologies here aren’t boring. Slipways technologies allow you to move planets at will, harness stars for energy and colonize planets with sentient machines rather than humans. Each run has a different selection, so you’ll need to plan carefully and adapt to the situation. Your choice affects your experience and the way you view the planets and resources in the game.
Can we have one more game?
When a single run doesn’t last more than an hour, replayability is essential. The majority of Slipways’ content is procedurally generated, and each sector of the galaxy offers a unique challenge. To overcome these challenges, you’ll enlist the help of the five races populating the empire, each with a unique philosophical outlook, varied capabilities, and a slice of the technology tree dedicated to them. In each run, you’ll use about 10 of the more than 80 technologies available. There is no such thing as a duplicate game.
Make it your own
You have 25 years to build the best empire you can, but there are other options. Play endlessly, experiment freely in sandbox mode, and measure your skills on pre-seeded maps against others in ranked run mode.
There will also be a campaign mode with every scenario introducing a new twist to the gameplay: supernovae that have to be tamed or avoided, sectors with new resources to be mined, and a dense nebula impeding your progress. As free updates are released, the number of scenarios will increase over time. Other modes will also feature the new mechanics introduced in the campaign, offering even more options for gamers.
