The game Imagine Earth is both a simulation of a real-life planet and a build-up strategy game. You are tasked with exploring and populating distant planets as a space colony manager. You will be able to build up thriving and profitable colonies on a global scale, as well as trade resources and goods into space.
Profits versus ecocide
The profit goals of interstellar corporations will clash with the need to preserve your people’s living conditions. Global climate change is impacted by exhaust emissions and ground pollution as your colony grows. Increasing temperatures melt polar caps and rising sea levels destroy your colonies.
Expansion and research
Develop great cities and satisfy their appetite for resources by building power plants, farms, and factories. Maintain a healthy ecosystem by mining Gideon crystals, pacifying riots, and researching technologies.
Allies, Threats, and Enemies
Asteroid strikes, twisters, wildfires, volcanoes, and rising sea levels are among the threats we will face. Keep alien investors and space raiders at bay. Natives, merchants, and hostile colonies can coexist and trade with each other.
An era of capitalism in space
In 2048, huge corporations exploited Earth’s natural resources to a large extent and divided them among themselves. Now that Gideon crystals have been discovered, we can travel into space, but almost everything remains unchanged technologically and ideologically. Market laws are spreading throughout the universe.
Warfare and competition in the economy.
There is a competition for economic dominance on every planet discovered. In order to expand your colony as quickly as possible and overcome your enemies, you exploit free fossil resources and minerals. A colony’s shares can be sold for additional funds. Acquire shares in opposing companies and take over the company.
Technologies and resources for trade
Technology traders and merchants organize the interplanetary trade and will happily buy any minerals and resources you extract from your territory while selling expensive technologies. Aliens who live on some planets cooperate with colonies and tribes.
