ICARUS is an eight-player co-op session-based PvE survival game.
On Icarus, humanity’s biggest mistake, you’ll have to endure a savage alien wilderness. You hope to find your fortune by exploring, harvesting, crafting, hunting, and exploring its harsh environment.
Prospectors drop from their orbital station to the planet’s surface for limited time sessions, where they learn to endure the alien environment, complete faction missions, and hunt for valuable exotic materials. Survival forces those who survive to convert their exotics into advanced technology and take on ever more challenging drops with newfound knowledge. Those who are left behind… are lost forever.
When terraforming collapsed, Icarus was destined to be a new Earth, but the air became toxic and humanity’s colonization hopes vanished. As a symbol of humanity reaching for the stars and failing, Icarus became a joke. However, when xeno-biologists discovered the source of the failure – exotic matter – a renewed interest was sparked. As a result of these ‘exotics’, a gold rush sparked on Earth, fueling tensions and bringing prospectors to Icarus.
