We present for your consideration our RogueVania, a cross between a modern Roguelite (Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Spelunky, etc.) and an old-school Metroidvania (Castlevania: SotN and its ilk).
With interconnected levels and progressive unlocks of access to the island, you are compelled to explore your surroundings. Dead Cells borrows from MetroidVanias by adding a degree of character evolution and permanent weapon upgrades.
In the end, what matters most is YOUR skills as a player! A roguelike’s goal is to continuously improve until what was once unsurmountable becomes routine. An unforgiving combat system coupled with the absence of any kind of safety net makes this game an adrenaline-pumping ride you won’t soon forget.
